book commentary 001 β the mysterious affair at styles
As of posting this, I am on page 139 and my god IDK why this has been such a hard book to get through. The story isn't bad, the writing isn't bad. It's just been taking me 5ever to legit get through.
I'm so ready to be done with it already, fuck.
I have too many other books to read.

Hastings has been thirsting and idealizing her in his head through the whole book, but Poirot, being Poirot, has never really missed a beat with her it seems.
Her reaction to him telling her "i will be ur father confessor whenever u want" was weird af.
And he said she was an "unusually jealous woman" at one point. Which now i find a random, odd, but very pointed thing to say.
So, we'll see how right I am lol
I've been trying to pinpoint who it is since like. ch 7.
